Job Description

Assistant Director of Uniform and Wardrobe Operations is responsible for the timely delivery of uniforms for the integrated resort with an approx. volume of 60,000 pieces to ensure highest standard of uniform quality are met at all times and to ensure the grooming standards of the company are achieved to all uniformed staff. Assistant Director of Uniform and Wardrobe Operations is responsible for the pre-opening set up of wardrobe operation for the initial distribution of uniforms, the application of the chosen uniform distribution system and the smooth operation of the wardrobe.


  • Achieve Uniform and Wardrobe OPEX and CAPEX budget
  • Ensure all uniforms are designed, manufactured, maintained to achieve required employee uniform standards
  • Ensure the quality and use by dates of all uniforms are monitored and replaced as required
  • Ensure all Wardrobe staff are trained in all aspects of the wardrobe operations


  • Assist uniform design process and on-going replacement of uniforms. This includes coordination to all department heads with regards to their uniform concern and requirements.
  • Establish brief requirements on Management’s vision of uniform design
  • Coordinate with Management, designers/manufacturers on concepts and functionality
  • Establish orders and time frames for deliveries
  • Coordinate fittings and alteration
  • Implementation of RFID technology operated conveyor system
  • Negotiate with HASD management, designer and suppliers to achieve results of highest standard
  • Coordinate with company representatives and conveyor vendor on hardware/software/maintenance requirements
  • Establish OS&E requirements
  • Establish policies and procedures
  • Team development and facilitations
  • Coordinate with external/internal laundry to establish standards and delivery procedures associated with RFID uniforms
  • Ensure highest standards during the uniform manufacturing process
  • With clear understanding of the strategic Vision of the Company and how it impacts on the Business Unit/function.
  • Develop understanding of Wardrobe logistical issues and the ability to implement effective solutions that meet the demands of a five-star casino hotel complex
  • Take action on special uniform requirements or any uniform changes to other departments.
  • Responsible in preparing the annual uniform budget for the whole property including monthly amortization.
  • Create and updating of established Standard Operating Procedures and Policies and procedures
  • Effectively and efficiently manage a harmonious work flow of the department.
  • Efficiently manage the departmental expenses.
  • Close coordination with Laundry department to ensure uniform quality is met at all times.
  • Mentoring candidates for succession plan.
  • Safe keeping of highly confidential files.
  • Responsible for the evaluation of the Manager, Assistant Manager and Supervisors.

Job Requirement

  • Development of uniforms and wardrobe operations for large casino/hotel organizations of 5,000+ employees.
  • RFID technology operated conveyor system.
  • With at least 5 years experience in a high-volume Wardrobe operation with conveyor typed uniform distribution system and uniform inventory system
  • With strong administrative background and knowledge of the uniform inventory system.
  • Computer Literate
  • Knowledgeable with fabric composition
  • Conversant with laundry procedure of different fabrics.
  • With strong people handling skills.
  • Proficient in uniform budget making.
  • Must be a proficient speaker and writer of English
