Job Description

Main Purpose of the Job

Scheduler, Workforce Optimization is responsible for the daily pit/allocation of appropriately skilled

employees rostered throughout all Casino Departments.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

Duties may include but not limited to:

  • Revise daily pit/allocation in a timely manner which fulfil all operational demands in accordance with:

                   - Casino Policies and Procedures

                   - Casino HR Policies and Procedures

                   - All relevant Departmental Policies

  • Effectively manager and problem solve issues relating to last minute changes in business requirements. Be pro-active in identifying any shortfalls or anomalies and identifying them to the supervisor.
  • Assess and process requests based on business demand.
  • Maintain records relating to leaves of absences, sick calls, suspensions and special days off as they relate to the daily and fortnightly rosters.
  • Ensure all customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous service at all times.
  • Include verbal communication over the phone, verbal communication face to face and written communication.
  • Act in accordance with and administer established policies and procedures appropriately.
  • Display an advanced working knowledge of the software packages used by the department.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Such other duties as may be required from time to time.

Job Requirement

  • Hospitality or Business-related university qualifications preferred
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite products and software
  • 6-month to 1- year Scheduling experience in a medium to large size organization
  • Experience in Casino and Hotel Scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven customer focus
  • Ability to build rapport with all customers
  • Ability to self-manage time, including the ability to balance multiple requests
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and action sensitive issues with discretion
  • Team player
  • Ability to handle pressure
